| 説明 | Built in 1922, this mixed-use building was designed by Mauran, Russell and Crowell in the Renaissance Revival style, matching the three apartment buildings to the rear. In 1936, the facade along Delmar Boulevard was renovated in the Art Deco style. The building is clad in stucco on the rear, with the front facade featuring a buff brick exterior, terra cotta and aluminum trim, casement and single-hung windows with transoms, multiple light wells, decorative parapets, decorative Art Deco-style reliefs, a base clad in black vitrolite with a large canopy at the corner ground floor entrance and horizontally banded aluminum trim, multiple retail shopfronts with plate glass windows and recessed doorways, and tile cladding at the base. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as the Donaldson Court Apartments in 1983, and is a contributing structure in the Delmar Loop–Parkview Gardens Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. |
