| 説明 | Sometime in the last year, the equipment and cable was removed from the lower tram station and the machine room locked up.The night of 30 September the mountains experienced the first snow of the season. We already planned a hike up to 10,338 foot Relay Peak, so we were able to enjoy an unexpected snow hike the next morning.Huffing and puffing and out of shape, we decided to stop at the Relay Station at about 10,200 feet to have a snack. Then we proceeded north along the ridge past Mt Houghton and down to Galena Falls before heading back out via the Waterfall Trail. It started snowing on us as we approached the falls and continued for the rest of the hike. Total loop was about ten miles.A GPS track of this hike can be found here. |
