| 説明 | Built in 1965, this Modern building was designed by Wenceslao Sarmiento to serve as a Chancery for the nearby Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, providing a sleek, cylindrical counterpoint to the adjacent domed cathedral. The building features a domed roof with wide overhanging eaves, sculptural concrete exterior columns with integrated structural beam supports, a curtain wall with bronze mullions and decorative screens, a two-story lobby with a decorative wall mural, and a stone retaining wall around the base of the building. The building serves as the main office building for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. Louis. |
