Die Spule fiel beim Waschen in den Brunnen, das Mädchen mußte hintendreinspringen und wurde bewußtlos. = A widow had two daughters: one beautiful and industrious, the other ugly and lazy. The latter was her own daughter, whom she much preferred her; while her stepdaughter had to do all the work, spinning at the well every day until the blood ran down her fingers.
