| 説明 | For the monthly scavenger hunt, 'The most exotic animal for your location'. I ummed and ahed for ages about whether I should choose an indigenous species that is rare or interesting in some way, or something from the zoo. In the end I decided that since 'exotic' means 'originating in or characteristic of a distant foreign country' I should choose an animal as atypical of Hertfordshire as possible.Siberian tigers are definitely that. So much so that we're only comfortable when they're surrounded by 15 foot electric fences; and even then there's a panic button on the viewing platform.I also like the way the tiger's coat stands out against its drab English surroundings. |
