| 説明 | Built in 1954-1957, this Modern building was designed by Harry Ray Nay to replace the previous Mason County Courthouse, which stood on the same site and dated to the 19th Century. The building is clad in limestone panels with multiple rectilinear massings with low-slope roofs enclosed by parapets, vertical window bays with aluminum mullions, a relief on the Main Street facade depicting the previous courthouse, and a recessed entrance bay at the center of the 6th Street facade. The building is a noncontributing structure in the Point Pleasant Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. |
