| 説明 | Built in 1891, this Renaissance Revival-style building was designed by Wilson Eyre, Jr. and John Scott and Company to house The Detroit Club, an exclusive club for the wealthiest members of Detroit’s society at the time. The building is clad in red brick with a brown rough-hewn sandstone base, sandstone trim at the windows, an oriel window above the entrance bay on the Cass Avenue facade, arched windows on the first, third, and fourth floors, a parapet enclosing a low-slope roof, semi-circular bays on the north and south ends of the Cass Avenue facade, and a two-story bay window on the Fort Street facade. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, and today, continues to serve as the home of the Detroit Club. |
