| 説明 | Built in 1960, this Classical Revival-style building features a red brick exterior with stone trim, a tall front portico with Ionic fluted columns, a front pediment, and an architrave with the words “Citizens Home & Savings Assn.” etched into it, along with 1889, the date the bank was founded, and 1960, the year the building was built, with a sandstone facade at the rear of the portico featuring three large bays with aluminum storefronts, an aluminum and glass front vestibule, recessed panels with stars, and fluted Ionic pilasters and engaged columns, a cornice with modillions, a parapet clad in sandstone, sandstone quoins, a sandstone base, and three large storefront openings on the side facades with sandstone trim, with two similar window openings on the rear, plus an entrance door and a drive-through window. The building no longer houses a bank, but instead, houses offices for the adjacent University Hospital - Amherst. |
