| 説明 | Built in 1968, this Modern Brutalist-style skyscraper was designed by C. F. Murphy Associates as a commercial office building for Blue Cross Blue Shield Insurance. The building is clad in concrete with ribbed vertical pillars flanking the central bays of each facade and smooth-faced spandrels of varying depths that separate the building’s ribbon windows, with cantilevered corners featuring no exterior columns, a low-slope roof, and tall parapets in the center of each facade between the pillars. The building today has become known by its address, 55 W Wacker Drive, and presently houses multiple commercial office tenants. |
