| 説明 | Built in 1989, this Postmodern-style skyscraper was designed by Kevin Roche-John Dinkerloo and Associates, and Shaw and Associates, and houses the offices of Leo Burnett Worldwide, an advertising agency, from which it takes its name. The building stands 50 stories and 635 feet (193 meters) tall, with an exterior made up of a grid of stone panels surrounding windows, some of which sit at the corners, with extruded corners, decorative metal mullions in the center of each window bay, and pilasters at ground level. The building function as a commercial office building, with various tenants, and takes heavy inspiration from historic classical architecture, but mixes it with modernist aesthetics, methods, and building materials, making it an example of a Postmodern skyscraper taking inspiration from traditional design, which was a driving force behind the original philosophy of the movement. |
