| 説明 | I'm fairly certain these mountains were covered with forests a couple hundred years ago, but never grew back after being logged for the mines and the railroads in the 19th century. This side of the Carson Range doesn't get as much moisture as, for example, the Tahoe basin, which was largely reforested after being logged. Pretty much all the forests around here are second growth. |
