| 説明 | Built in the late 19th Century, this large Queen Anne-style building is clad in red brick with stone piers and trim at the base, a cylindrical corner turret, three-story bay windows, a decorative brick cornice made up of corbeling, chiseled decorative brick courses, terra cotta modillions, and terra cotta belt coursing, one-over-one windows, a low-slope roof enclosed by a parapet, terra cotta panels int he spandrels, stone sills, and multiple first floor retail spaces interspersed between entrance doors to the upper floors surrounded by rusticated stone trim. The building is an excellent demonstration of aesthetic trends along Chicago’s major neighborhood commercial thoroughfares during the late 19th Century. |
