| 説明 | Built in the late 19th Century, these Queen Anne-style buildings demonstrate many common elements on Chicago’s victorian-era mixed-use buildings, including oriel windows, decorative cornices, one-over-one windows, brick exteriors, first floor retail shopfronts, decorative stone and terra cotta trim, and low-slope roofs obscured behind parapets. The buildings are demonstrative of aesthetic trends along Chicago’s major neighborhood commercial thoroughfares during the late 19th Century. The buildings are contributing structures in the Lakeview Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. |
