| 説明 | Built in 1892, this Queen Anne and Romanesque Revival-style building was built to serve as the Tremont Hotel. The building is clad in red brick with rusticated brownstone trim, one-over-one replacement windows, a corbeled parapet with a central gabled section and acroterions, an arched datestone with the year “1892” emblazoned on it above a stone with the name “Tremont” emblazoned on it, iron balconies that double as fire escapes mounted between the windows in the central bays over the front entrance, connected via a ladder, a recessed entry porch with an arched opening, wooden front entry doors with a transom featuring painted signage, modified first floor storefronts, and a rusticated brownstone base. The building is a contributing structure in the Columbus Downtown Historic District, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992. |
