| 説明 | Built in 1931, this Art Deco-style fire station was built to house Buffalo Fire Department’s Company 13, and sits along Court Street to the west of Buffalo City Hall. The building features a cream brick exterior with pilasters at the corners and in between bays on the facades along Court Street, large garage bays on the first floor, replacement windows, stone trim, decorative brickwork, a concrete base, a low-slope roof enclosed with a parapet, and a central tower structure in the middle of the C-shaped building’s courtyard, which features an octagonal base with pilasters framing the outer bays, a central garage door, glass block windows, and a tall octagonal tower set back from the edges of the first floor that features a large banner for the Buffalo Fire Department and pilasters at the edges of the chamfered corners, along with a flagpole atop the structure. The building and presently serves as the Buffalo Fire Department Headquarters and Maintenance Facility. |
