My photos are FREE to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks.The Flume is a natural gorge extending 244 meters (800 ft) at the base of Mount Liberty. The walls of Conway granite rise to a height of 21-27 meters (70-90 ft) and are 3.7-6 meters (12-20 ft) apart. The Flume Trail is a 3.2 kilometer (2 mi) loop starting at the check-in booths located in front of the Flume Building. The Short Trail/Rim Path is closed and the only option is to complete the full 3.2 kilometre (2 mi) loop. The entire loop takes approximately 1.5 hours and finishes at the Flume Building. The walk includes uphill walking and lots of stairs. The boardwalk allows you to look closely at the growth of flowers, ferns and mosses found here.The pathway is rebuilt every Spring to allow visitors to walk the Flume pathway. |
