The RS 2.7 is notable for its lightweight body, improved suspension, and more powerful engine. The 2.7-liter engine was turbocharged and produced 210 horsepower. The RS 2.7 was the first 911 to be equipped with Porsche's now-famous rear spoiler. The RS 2.7 was a successful race car, winning the 1973 24 Hours of Daytona and the 1973 12 Hours of Sebring. |
