| 説明 | Built in the 19th Century, this Queen Anne-style mixed-use flatiron building was renovated to house the Remedy House Cafe in 2017, helping with the strategic redevelopment of the Five Points district in Front Park. The building features a flatiron-shaped wedged footprint between Rhode Island Street and Utica Street, with a mansard roof with multiple dormers and gables, an octagonal turret at the narrow end of the building clad in shingles with a hipped roof, replacement windows, large sliding glass doors and yellow fabric awnings at the base, which allow for outdoor dining during nice weather, and an oriel window on the second floor of the Rhode Island Street facade. The building is one of several mixed-use structures anchoring the five-points intersection in the middle of Front Park, many of which have been renovated to house new local businesses, creating a small, curated, and vibrant locus of commercial activity. |
