| 説明 | Built in 1930, this Collegiate Gothic Revival-style building was designed by Barber and McMurry and named for Charles E. Ferris, the first dean of the Tickle College of Engineering after it became its own college within the university, and whom founded the co-operative engineering education program for the college. The building features a red brick exterior, side gable and hipped roof, a central tower section with a low-slope roof, crenellated parapet, limestone pinnacle over the central doorway, brick buttresses, limestone tracery at the second and third floor windows above the front entry door, and arched rear doorways with stone trim surrounds. The building houses part of the University of Tennessee’s Engineering Department. |
