説明 | Its modern appellation is the result of an erroneous interpretation of an inscription at the beginning of the twentieth century. The arch was designed to be seen primarily by travellers approaching the city from Lambaesis, since from the east (inside the city), the lateral bays were masked by the porticoes of the decumanus maximus.Blas de Roblès, Jean-Marie; Sintes, Claude; Kenrick, Philip.
