| 説明 | On 20th April 1992, Hertfordshire Railtours ran their "Crewe Avoider" Railtour from Paddington to Morris Cowley, Hamworthy, Fawley and Ludgershall. It was supposed to have been a tour to Northampton to visit the Brackmills branch. "Unfortunately shortly before the tour BR at Crewe announced a ban for running tours over LMR freight lines. A hasty re-organisation courtesy of BR (WR) and (SR) enabled a tour still to be run on this date, steering well clear of the LMR (hence the name). The locos carried a larger-than-usual headboard too!" (Six Bells Junction). A 7 minute stop at Eastleigh allowed me to grab some shots of the stabled motive power too. |
