Design for hackability is about allowing and encouraging people to change functions, look and feel, letting non-designers explore new ways of utilizing things, adapt functions and make technologies be what they want them to be.One of the old definitions of hacking is interacting in playful and exploratory way, as well as enjoying the “intellectual challenge of creatively overcoming or circumventing limitations”.The general premise behind DIY is that if you do not like the way things are done, then you should do it yourself.
