| 説明 | The telescopes of the Very Large Array are carried to their mountpoints by this, the High Plains Lifter (or the other one whose name I can't remember). It picks them up on these little sidings, returns to the main line, and (to make the 90° turn) lifts itself off the siding track, then turns each of its wheel trucks onto the main track. You can see this area in the foreground. |
