| 説明 | Prussian reserve kürassier officer–cannot determine which Regimen--6th???From Marshall D.There's something even more interesting about this photo that's easy to overlook: the soldier is wearing an officer's helmet and 2nd Lieutentant shoulder boards - BUT....the tunic is unquestionably an ENLISTED man model!! The pocket flaps may be officer style, but the collar and cuffs are definitely enlisted man. The Cuirassier officer's tunic had entirely different lace on the collar and cuffs, which was a grey ribbed silk material, edged in white and regimental colors. The enlisted man tunic, on the other hand, had light-grey patterened lace with two stripes in regimental color running through the lace, as seen in your photo. This is odd! Why would an officer be wearing the correct helmet and shoulder boards, yet clearly the wrong uniform for his rank???SOLD |
