説明 | The Flåm Railway (Flåmsbana) is 12.5 miles (20.2-kilometers) long and runs through the Flåm Valley (Flåmsdalen). It runs between Myrdal (top of the mountains) and Flåm (on the Aurlandsfjord) in Norway. It is one of the steepest trainlines in the world on normal tracks, where almost 80% of the journey has a gradient of 5.5%The 2-hour train ride through Norway's fjord country includes breathtaking scenery, 20 tunnels and numerous waterfalls,I did a round-trip on the train from Flåm with my Norwegian cousin Villy.A waterfall seen from the train. The photo was taken in August 2002. |
