| 説明 | Built in 1887, Edgewood, also known as the A. E. Burckhardt House, was located on Forest Avenue at the end of Burnet Avenue. The once-grand mansion sat vacant from sometime around the turn of the millennium until its demolition in 2022, deteriorating massively during that time. These photos, taken in August 2022, show the house, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, undergoing demolition, just like its fellow Hannaford-designed structures in other areas of Avondale; the Mary Wolfe House and St. Andrew Catholic Church, which were both demolished in 2019. |
