| 説明 | The church dates from the thirteenth century onwards, the west tower was rebuilt in 1853 by Stephen Lewin.The church is built in Greenstone with ashlar and yellow brickwork. The roof is of slate.There is a western tower, nave, aisles, chancel, south vestry and porch.The tower is of four stages, built in an Early English style with a plain parapet.The south west buttress has grotesques.The tower arch is perpendicular.The nave has four bays of Early English arcades. The north side has octagonal piers and capitals, the south has quatrefoil piers.The interior fittings are mostly nineteenth century apart from a sixteenth century octagonal font with figleaf motif and supporting heads.The south door archway has carved figures and faces dating from the fourteenth century.There is an east window with Victorian stained glass, and a small pipe organ. |
