説明 | A truck emerges from the Trappers Point wildlife overpass on US 191 near Pinedale, Wyoming. This structure was designed specifically for migrating pronghorn, and completed in 2012 by the Wyoming Department of Transportation. It was part of a larger project that included 6 underpasses, 2 overpasses, and several miles of wildlife exclusion fencing, which helped drastically reduce mule deer and pronghorn mortalities on the highway. Pronghorn have migrated through the Trappers Point bottleneck for at least 8,000 years, as documented by archaeological evidence.
