| 説明 | Built in 1950, this Art Moderne-style building was constructed to house the Croatian Liberty Home, and was expanded to the rear with the addition of a kitchen and back bar, nearly doubling the size of the building. The building features a buff brick exterior, glass block windows, limestone trim, neon signs on the facade, a low-slope roof enclosed by a parapet, recessed front entrance doors, and recessed reveals in the middle of the brick facade that create horizontal emphasis on the exterior. After falling into disuse, the building was repurposed in 2000 as the Beachland Ballroom and Tavern, a restaurant, bar, and live music venue, which anchored the revitalization of the quirky Waterloo Road Arts District in Cleveland's east side North Collinwood neighborhood. |
