| 説明 | Paul A. Jacobson discovered early in his life his appreciation of and love for music. A Wayne High School 1975 graduate, he took an active role in the marching band and school orchestra and enjoyed performing for the schools long time music director Dick Wiggenhorn.From 1975-1979 Paul pursued and completed his music degree at the University of Dayton. His various activities included many performances as an active member of the UD marching band and different ensemble groups with emphasis on clarinet and tuba.Completing his music education degree, Paul became a first year teacher in the Northridge Schools; he continued to serve the district for five years. His belief in the music subject area remains strong, as he currently participates in Colorados District 11s musical programs in two different schools. He achieved in 1988 a Masters in Music Composition from Lamont School of Music at the University of Denver. Sometime later in 2008 he earned his Masters in Theology from The Kings Seminary in Van Nuys, California.Pauls attainments are many, as he has arranged or composed many different pieces. They include: Ukrainian Bell Carol for strings (2011); Scrooge: A Carol with an Attitude (2010); and music included on the My Savior Lives CD (2007); I Am Free CD (2004); Make Me Glad CD, song #7, Stand in the Gap (2004); and More than Life CD, song #9, Living Water (2002). His other publications include Teaching General Music with Electronics, and Music Education Based on a Paradigm Shift (1993).His music strengths and training have brought about much recognition, as Paul has been a presenter at both music and church conferences.Early in his teaching career, Paul received from the Northridge Kiwanis the Youth Service Award (1983). Also, locally the Trinity Baptist Church presented him with a Citation of Appreciation for his statewide youth work (1982). In his home state of Colorado, Pauls talents have brought about other types of recognitiona Warren Scholarship from the University of Denver (1987), a Sierra High School Pride Award (1985), and a Certificate of Appreciation for musical leadership from the First Baptist Church in Colorado Springs.Paul and his wife Roberta married in May, 1997. She is also in the educational field and serves as an administrative assistant in the Colorado Springs Christian Schools. Together they have three sonsDaniel (1986), David (1989), and Michael (1997). Daniel served in the USAF, David is married and works as a live audio engineer, and Michael is in the engineering program on a ROTC scholarship at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. |
