説明A long-time teacher and athletic director at Northridge High School, Bob Fink was born in Elkhart, Indiana. Bob received All-State honors as a guard in football at Elkhart High School in 1948. He served four years in the Marine Corps and served a year and a half in combat zones in the Korean conflict. He was discharged from the Marines as a Staff Sergeant. At DePauw University, Bob was a guard on the football team and played offense and defense for his four years of eligibility. He was named DePauw's Athlete of the Year in 1954. He was named to the All Indiana Conference Team two years. He was also honored as a member of one of the Little All-American Teams his junior year. He earned his bachelor's degree in 1956.In 1957, Bob was employed by the Northridge Schools as a teacher and assistant football coach. He assisted Coach Dave Herring for six years. In 1958, he was named Assistant Athletic Director under Coach Herring. Bob was named Head Football Coach and Athletic Director in 1963. He was the head coach for three years and was Athletic Director until he retired in 1993.Bob was a member of the local, state, and national athletic directors organizations. As a member of the Southwest Ohio Athletic Directors Association (SWOADA), Bob served on many committees through the years, served as their treasurer for 11 years, was named District Athletic Director of the Year, and in 1991, was elected to the SWOADA Hall of Fame.As a member of the Ohio Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (OIAAA), Bob served on many committees at the state level, was nominated for State Athletic Director of the Year, and was elected to the OIAAA Hall of Fame in 1991.As a member of the National Interscholastic Association of Athletic Administrators (NIAAA), he served on various committees at the national level, and was one of the first four athletic directors in Ohio to receive national certification from the NIAAA.Bob married Marian, his high school sweetheart, in 1953. Marian is a UD alumna and worked as a secretary in their Mechanical Engineering Dept. for 15 years. They have two sons'Mike, who is Senior Fashion Director at Sachs Fifth Avenue in New York, and Pat, who is a paramedic and Assistant Fire Chief in Lewisburg'and three grandchildren.
