| 説明 | Central Armature Works, Inc . On 3rd Street just off M Street, NE, Washington DC . Wednesday afternoon, 5 October 2005.I would first be facinated with Central Armature Works, Inc. in 1979 when I would sometimes purchase supplies and euipment from a hardware store located in the 700 block of D Street, in NW WDC. At the time Central Armature Works, Inc. was located in the 600 block of D Street. In 1992 www.flickr.com/photos/perspective/10403814/ when I would resume photographing the old building I would realize that the Central Armaiture Works had relocated from the 600 block of D Street.In June 2005 I would revisit the area to find that the old building that originally had been the Clara Barton Civil War Hospital had been redeveloped into the Lafayette at Penn Quarter Condomininons. When searching the web and telephone directories I would then learn, in june 2005, that Central Amature had relocated to 3rd and H Street in NE.Elvert Xavier Barnes Photography |
