説明 | The Wright EX was a special model for exhibition flying and was a smaller version of the Wright Model B. The ‘Vin Fiz’ was the first aeroplane to fly across the United States, piloted by Calbraith Perry Rodgers and sponsored by the Armour Company who had just produced a new soft drink called Vin Fiz. The flight took 49 days between 17th September and 5th November 1911. While the original ‘Vin Fiz’ is in the National Air and Space Museum in Washington DC, this convincing replica is on display at the Gillespie Field Annex of the San Diego Air and Space Museum.
