| 説明 | It is an uninhabited island in Lough Derg (County Clare). It is quite small (43 acres (17 hectares)) but must have been very populated in the past. The ecclesiastic settlement here dates to 500AD and over the years there were 2 monasteries that functioned as a sort of University. Today there are well preserved/restored ruins of 4 churches, a round tower and a well.
