| 説明 | c/n WA/H/61Built 1952 as a Dragonfly HR.3Served with 705 Naval Air Squadron at Gosport and then the Yeovilton Station Flight before being converted to HR.5 standard in 1958. After conversion she went back to the Yeovilton Station Flight and was the first helicopter to land at the newly re-built HMS Osprey (RNAS Portland) in March 1959. By 1961 she had moved to the Lossiemouth Station Flight where she was coded ‘933-LM’. She was struck off charge on 16th September 1965 and sold for scrap. After moving between several scrapyards she arrived at Fleetlands for restoration in March 1999 and was on display in Chatham by August that year, wearing her original 705 squadron markings.Chatham Historic DockyardChatham, Kent, UK27th July 2021 |
