| 説明 | A bottle of Geuze Mariage Parfait 2006 Vintage from Brouwerij F. Boon in Lembeek , Belgium, at Belgo Noord in Camden, London.Geuze Mariage Parfait is an 8% abv traditional belgian lambic beer, 100% spontaneously fermented and then refermented in the bottle. It poured a hazy golden color with a large, frothy white head. Fruity aroma with some acidity. Light, tart mouthfeel with a good cabonation. Flavor started out with a mild sweetness and fruity acidity, think unripe apples and lemon. Nice balance between the sweet and sour elements, with some yeast and a barnyard added for complexity. Tart finish with a lingering sweet note. This is a refreshing, very drinkable, mild but well made gueuze. The best beer at Belgo Noord!Sidenote:The bartender at Belgo Noord didn't even know they had this gem, even though it was listed under the Connoisseur's Choice heading on their menu. He also said they didn't sell much else than the regular draft beers, which explains the stale selection of beer at the Belgo pubs.Oh well, you can't win them all. |
