| 説明 | APG and community leaders honored fallen service member’s families during a ceremony at the Living Legacy Pavilion and reception at APG's Top of the Bay, Oct. 1. The in-person and virtual event was held to commemorate Gold Star Mother’s and Family’s Day on Sept. 25. APG Senior Commander and Communications-Electronics Command (CECOM) commander, Maj. Gen. Robert Edmonson II, hosted the ceremony. The term “Gold Star" originated during World War 1. Americans displayed flags within their communities and homes featuring a blue star for each family member serving in the military.
