| 説明 | Along Everett Bothell Highway, soon after King County line, is a pizza place that used to be a Pizza Haven. Has some meaning, to me, as I used to work for Pizza Haven when they had 1 and then 2 locations in Bellingham. That was back in the 1980s and I worked as a part time janitor / dishwasher. Most of the time, I worked at the downtown Bellingham location, on Magnolia Street, which is now an optometrist. About a year after I started working there, they built a brand new location on Telegraph Road in the Meridian / I-5 retail area of Bellingham that was starting to take off. It was the "new store." All fancy. The same design as this pizza parlor in Bothell. Funny thing, the "new store" in Bellingham has since been torn down. No trace of it remains today while the old Pizza Haven location is still there. Old location now an optometrist. Talk about throw away businesses. The Pizza Haven chain started having financial problems and sold both it's Bellingham locations to Pietro's Pizza. A few years later, both those locations closed. Magnolia Street became an optometrist while the Telegraph location became "My Mexico" for a while. After My Mexico moved out, the building was torn down and the hillside regraded. That unrecognizable location is somewhere near where a Dollar Store now resides. It was a beautiful building, good food also, so I enjoy visiting the location in Bothell with the same design as the Telegraph location in Bellingham. It's now Sparta's Pizza. |
