| 説明 | This population is assigned to black sagebrush because the leaves are dark green and conspicuously glandular punctate. However, the basal bracts of the inflorescence are tridentate, like those of low sagebrush (Artemisia arbuscula) and not entire, as expected for black sagebrush. Black sagebrush is uncommon along highways especially in crested wheatgrass green strips. It is abundant at this site in the Idaho National Laboratory, along highway 33, east of Howe, Butte County, Idaho, because it is abundant in adjacent undisturbed sagebrush steppe and because lands administered by the Idaho National Laboratory tend to be seldom impacted by human activity (e.g., little livestock grazing occurs in this area). |
