Planted in 1997.Alternate, simple green leaves (2 to 4in. long) Coarsely toothed. Some yellow fall color. Drought tolerant. Late to leaf out in Spring. Likes hot weather. Spring pruning tends to increase flower size. Flowers are on new growth. Located on the West slope, NOID. Severe dieback in 2020.
