| 説明 | Illustration for a comparative ecophylogenetic analysis of local myrmecofaunas, based on r/K selection theory and intra / interspecific parabiosis / lestobiosis, particularly focused on allochthonous and invasive species.[Systole Walker 1832: 31 (IT: 2) spp]Same specimen, sx side.Chalcidoidea is a megadiverse Sf with high morphological variation & considerable size range (0.13 ÷ 20 mm); such morphological & numerical variety has resulted in a large number of currently described supraspecific taxa: 23 ff, 89 sff, 2,098 gg. Chalcidoidea contains 1/3 of all hymenopteran parasitoid spp and is the 2nd most speciose group of parasitoids after Ichneumonoidea. Biologically, Chalcidoidea is as diverse as all other parasitic wasps together. Its spp exhibit all but 2 of the 15 types of feeding defined for the class Insecta and their host range exceeds all insect orders except Diptera. Members of this Sf are known to attack all life stages from 13 Endopterygota & Exopterygota insect orders, as well as 1 life stage from 3 orders of Arachnida and a family of Nematoda. Also, some spp of Agaonidæ, Eulophidæ, Eurytomidæ, Pteromalidæ, Tanaostigmatidæ & Torymidæ are phytophagous, either as gall inducers, seed eaters or inquilines of galls induced by other spp. Ecologically & economically, Chalcidoidea is one of the most important groups used to regulate or manage insect populations since they have the highest success rate in biological control programs in reference to the establishment & control of pest populations. Their high degree of host specificity clearly reduces the possibility of attacking non-target organisms. Its taxonomy and classification is far from being completely solved.REFERENCESJ.M.
