| 説明 | ... let me start off by saying, "GO SEE THIS MOVIE," rent it, buy it, find it showing somewhere, but just go see it. The title led me to believe it was going to be a Rocky does tennis type movie with lots of action and suspense on the tennis court...yawn. I put it off for weeks and then started watching. I not only watched it without interruption, but because a small part of the disc I had was damaged, I rented it and waited a week for it to come in.Woody Allen wrote and directed the film and is quoted as saying it was probably the best movie he ever made. I agree with him wholeheartedly. Wikipedia compares it and parts of it to several earlier Allen productions, but I didn't relate to that. I was, however, strongly reminded of "A Place in the Sun" starring Montgomery Cliff, Elizabeth Taylor and Shelly Winters. A Place in the Sun was great, but I left it with an unresolved feeling which was unpleasant. Match Point I left with a "this is reality and I'm wondering at the degree of stability that will be in the lives of the survivors."In early dialog Woody Allen has Scarlett Johannson saying she feels she is not beautiful, but has a sexy quality that makes many people believe she is beautiful, which was approximately what I was trying to say in describing an earlier Johansson movie.
