| 説明 | Built of opus caementicium (cement), it has an external facing of rectangular peperino stone blocks. The monument is made up of a square base of 15 metres on each side, on which stand g cones. Although the owner is unknown, the monument is unique in Lazio for its explicit reference to the Etruscan world. Its shape recalls the tomb of Porsena, now lost, described by Pliny the elder and Varro, and some funeral urns from the area of Volterra. |
