| 説明 | The lion at the Lambeth end of Westminster Bridge, London. It was originally atop the Lion Brewery and two more were on the gates. After a fire in 1931 the brewery closed and in 1949 it was demolished to make way for the new Festival Hall. On the orders of King George VI two surviving lions were saved. One was placed here and the other at the entrance to Twickenham Rugby Ground in West London. |
