| 説明 | Reid’s Coffee Palace lately Tawana Lodge. Across the street at the entrance to the railway station is Reid’s Coffee Palace. Reid’s New York Bakery operated on this site from around 1855 until it burn down in the 1870s. John Reid then built this accommodation and reception building in 1886 with extensions in 1888. Reid was opposed to alcohol and his temperance hotel was known as a coffee palace. |
