| 説明 | A slide rule from 1965 with a sliding central strip and cursor, marked with logarithmic scales. An analog calculating machine that was used at a school in St. Gallen. Made in France by Raphoplex (Breveté S.G.D.G.). The setting shows 1.3 (D) x1.3 (C) = 1.69 (D). The line on the cursor shows on A 1.69 squared = 2.85. Easy and fast without mistyping. Doesn't need electricity. The decimal places must be estimated in one's head. A good brain training. Switzerland, January 13, 2021. |
