| 説明 | A Quokka in Rottnest Island (or Wadjemup), Western Australia, April 2006. The island was named in 1696 by the Dutch explorer Willem de Vlamingh 'Eylandt de Rottenest' - 'Rats' Nest Island' - as he mistook the local marsupial quokkas for rats. The Quokkas are almost unique to this island. |
