| 説明 | Another shot of the same bird, was quite lucky to sight two of them - a pair - on some nice perches. It belongs to the large cuckoo family, but is non-parasitic, i.e. it doesn't lay its eggs in other birds nests. The bird is easily recognizable by the bluish eye from which it derives its name. I had seen this bird dart off into trees where there were other birds nests several times, but I am not sure if it is a nest raider. Incidentally the bird is only found in South India upto Sri Lanka.Thanks in advance for your views and / or feedback. Much appreciated. |
