| 説明 | A University Optics 12.5mm wireless guiding eyepiece I purchased new in 1986 showing unwanted fungus mold growth along the reticle double lines. It likely developed sometime in the past 10 years. As an idea of the scale of this image, the double lines are spaced at 0.2mm (200 microns). Astronomers use these eyepieces by manually keeping a guide star in the central box. This allows an attached camera to the telescope to accumulate an image without the object trailing. Image made with a Canon SD1200is set at 3x optical zoom held in place with a 1960's vintage Edmund Scientific telescope bracket aimed directly into the eyepiece a few mm away from the camera lens. Smart sharpening in Photoshop and contrast/brightness adjustments were made. Darkfield effect made by aiming my 1960's 4-1/4 inch f/10 Edmund Scientific "Palomar"reflector telescope slightly off axis from a bright window. Most settings were left on auto although I used the cameras infinity focus function to prevent hunting. Exif data is available. |
