説明 | This is the transmitting site of KMRB/1430am and KAZN/1300am, which share six towers located in the Sakaida nursery, East San Gabriel, California—a town in the San Gabriel Valley, a few miles east of Los Angeles. KMRB is licensed to San Gabriel and KAZN to Pasadena. KMRB uses a four towers in a bent rectangular formation to produce an asymetrical directional 50kw signal pattern angled west, toward Pasadena and Los Angeles. At night it uses four towers in a row, aiming a 9.8kw signal to the southwest. KAZN uses all six towers to aim an asymmetrical 23kw beam to the northwest by day, and the same six to aim a potato-shaped asymmetrical 4.2kw signal pattern fanning from west to south, with a small lobe to the northeast. Two of the towers are taller and painted, and only one of these photos gets a complete view of all six. You can see those in a nice Microsoft Bing BirdsEye view here. Both stations are owned by Multicultural Radio Broadcasting, and produce Chinese language programming. KMRB speaks Cantonese and KAZN speaks Mandarin. To the left, or north, you can see smoke from the Bobcat Fire in the San Gabriel Mountains, which would be in this shot, save for the smoke. |
